Vanessa Reilly

Chief Real Estate Officer, Domo Realty

After graduating from Virginia Tech with a marketing degree, Vanessa Reilly packed everything she owned into a five-speed Nissan Stanza and set her sights on the big city. She dreamed of Madison Avenue glory, glossy ads, corner offices, a name in lights.

Instead, she found herself selling Porsches to “millionaires” with $20k bank accounts. It wasn’t glamorous. But it was a gift in disguise. There, Vanessa learned two things: she was the smartest person in the room, and real selling — true connection — wasn’t about money. It was about stories. About dreams. About moments.

She never belonged on a car lot. Luckily, she got fired.

And with that freedom, she returned to her passion: marketing. Only now, she found her calling in real estate, helping people tell the story of their homes in a way the world couldn’t ignore.

Eighteen years later, Vanessa’s creative marketing approach has earned national recognition, sparked Reddit threads of Gen Zers clutching their pearls, while they quietly add the homes to their “someday” vision boards, and most importantly, helped her clients’ homes go viral again and again, getting them the attention (and the offers) they deserve.
